What is PRP?

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is an innovative biological treatment that uses a concentration of platelets from your own blood to promote the healing of damaged tissue. Platelets are blood elements known for their role in clotting, but they also contain growth factors that can help in tissue regeneration .

Orthopedic Applications of PRP

  • Tendon Injuries : PRP is often used to speed the healing of tendonitis and tendon injuries, such as Achilles tendon or tennis elbow.

  • Cartilage Repair : Studies have shown that PRP can stimulate the repair and replacement of damaged cartilage, thanks to the presence of multiple growth factors.

  • Muscle Injuries : PRP treatment can significantly reduce recovery time from muscle strains or injuries.
