PROJECTS AND EXPERTISES
Dr. Med Izzo collaborates with several Swiss and international universities for the development of new cutting-edge surgical diagnostic techniques
ANTERIOR CRUCIATE LIGAMENT RECONSTRUCTION, MULTI-LIGAMENT KNEE SURGERY AND "INTERNAL BRACE"
Following high intensity sports accidents, ligament reconstruction sometimes requires special reinforcement techniques, such as the Internal Brace (also for the Anterior Cruciate Ligament), to help biology regenerate faster and better. Dedicated especially to elite athletes and those who need high performance ( in collaboration with the Université de Montréal, Canada ).
PATELLA INSTABILITY
Patellar instability is a multifactorial problem, which requires an expert and competent approach. Dr. Izzo and his team work to improve the diagnosis, even early, and propose the most advanced treatments for this pathology, not yet so well known ( in collaboration with the Université de Montréal and the Université de Sherbrooke, Canada ).
CARTILAGE AND MENISCUS TRANSPLANT
Sometimes serious traumas affect young active people with significant effects on the health of the knee: for this reason, in selected cases, cartilage and knee transplantation is a vital treatment for the resumption of sporting life ( in collaboration with the Université de Montréal, Canada ).
